The long cold days are a great time to plan for the spring garden upgrade. You have more time for contemplation and planning. What would you like to add or change in your garden this year.
A good place to start is taking a close look at your garden, is there any activity or is it empty of life? Try to imagine what a bird would look for in a place to spend time. They need shelter, trees or dense shrubs will do. Is there food and water to help them through the cold winter days and nights, ?
What kind of trees and shrubs do you have? Do any of them have berries or other fruits they can eat? Is your garden a bird sanctuary? Take a look at your garden, does it meet the basic needs of the birds or can it be improved? Having a good plan is the first place to start, I have started on mine . How about you?
Do what you will but harm none
